Location: GA The Clarkesville Fire Department recently took delivery of its first pumper built by Marion Body Works. It's built on Spartan Metro Star cab and chassis, powered by a 450-hp Cummins engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSU 1,500-gpm pump and a 750-gallon polypropylene tank. Not only was it the first Marion apparatus for the city, it was the first built on a custom cab and chassis.

The firefighters spent many hours developing the specifications and working with Marion to make sure the department got exactly what it needed. Soon after taking delivery, the department organized a blessing of the new apparatus, as illustrated in the photo.
